Brief History and Role

UNIS was formed in 2009 by merger of three organisations: CNAB (founded 1945), CSAB (founded 1996) and UNIT (founded 1992). UNIS is regulated by articles L.2131-1 of the Labour Code.

For its members, UNIS provides legal information, on-going training, a rental observatory (CLAMEUR), and a real estate website (BIEN ICI), and regular events such as an annual congress and real estate fairs.

In public policy discussions, UNIS formulates proposals, organises debates and makes demonstrations.

The representatives of UNIS sit in local and national government institutions.

¹ Valuers of UNIS created a COLLEGE OF EXPERT. This College formally applied to join the French property valuation charter ("Charte de l'expertise en évaluation immobilière").
