The Recognition Committee

The Recognition Committee is a dedicated technical committee specially constituted to monitor the REV and TRV status, the main focus being assessments of candidate AMAs or audits/re-audits of existing AMAs.

Role

Assessment of candidate AMAs

The Recognition Committee reviews applications made by candidate AMAs.

After approval by the Recognition Committee, the application is referred to the TEGOVA Board.

Audit of AMAs

The Recognition Committee conducts periodical audits of the existing AMAs.

Appointment

The TEGOVA Board appoints, oversees and dismisses as appropriate a Recognition Committee.

Role & Responsibilities

General Principles

TEGOVA's 'Recognised European Valuer' is run and maintained by the Board, assisted by a dedicated Recognition Committee and TEGOVA's Secretariat.

TEGOVA will approve an AMA (Awarding Member Association) as a competent body to process applications by the signature of an agreement with the AMA. It will then monitor the AMA.

The AMA is responsible for the administrative processing and monitoring of individual applications and the payment of certain complementary subscriptions and expenses to TEGOVA.

The Recognition Committee (RC)

The main role of the Recognition Committe is the assessment of candidate AMAs and the audit of existing AMAs.

The guidance notes of the REV status and TRV status for Board and Recognition Committee are available only to candidate AMAs, members of TEGOVA.

Administrative Procedures

The administrative procedures and the financial aspects of the REV status and TRV status are available only to candidate AMAs, members of TEGOVA.
