Brief History & Role

NVM is the foremost professional real estate association in the Netherlands. The NVM was founded in 1898 and has more than 4.000 members.

Principal Activities

NVM realizes its mission through a high quality provision of services to its members. In relation to trade organisations at home and abroad, authorities and relevant market parties, NVM positions itself in such a way that NVM knowledge and know-how contribute in a tangible way to a sustainable development of real estate in the Netherlands.

Organisation

NVM has the task of monitoring and safeguarding quality levels within the sector. We have drawn up an NVM code of Ethics in which agreements on expertise, independence and reliability are enshrined. Every NVM member is obliged to adhere to this code.

Membership

For its membership NVM creates added value for a high-quality positioning of the NVM-label in the market. With the label as a starting point NVM-members can enhance their market positions through the optimum provision of services.

Publications

TEGOVA NETHERLANDS translated the European Valuation Standards 2016 and extracts of EVS 2020 into Dutch.

The Dutch TEGOVA member associations NVM, Vastgoedpro and VBO formed TEGOVA Netherlands. Its main goal is to work together to pursue and defend common interests.
