Brief History and Role

Founded in 1958, CNEI is the oldest French grouping of independent and judicial valuers specialised in real estate and construction.

The Association represents more than 200 independent valuers of metropolitan France and oversees departments and territories (DOM TOM) with the objective of promoting the valuation profession and ensuring the flow of knowledge between its members.

TEGOVA FRANCE translated the European Valuation Standards 2016 into French.


The CNEI is one of the signatories of the 'Charte de l'Expertise en Evaluation Immobilière' (national charter of real estate valuation) and member of the 'Comité d'Application de la Charte', gathering the most important professional associations of valuers of France.

The association has the right to award Recognised European Valuer status (designated by the letters REV) to its members.



The French TEGoVA member associations AFREXIM, CEF, CEIF-FNAIM, CNEI, CSN, IFEI, SNPI and UNIS formed TEGoVA FRANCE. Its main goal is to work together to pursue and defend common interests.
