Message from the Chairman
2016 has been another eventful year for TEGoVA, the highlight being the launch of European Valuation Standards 2016 and the establishment of a new European Valuation Practice and Methodology Board (EVMP). The year also marked recognition of TEGoVA's standards and qualifications beyond Europe with the signing of mutual recognition agreements with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and the Appraisal Institute (USA).
In the New Year our flagship project will be the drafting of long awaited standards for the valuation of residential property and valuation methodology issues will be given more prominence.
Of course as always our Secretariat in Brussels will be keeping a close eye on European legislative developments affecting our profession and responding to any threats (eg illegal use of AVMs) through appropriate lobbying.
On behalf of the TEGoVA Board I would like to thank you all for your valuable support throughout the last year and encourage you to maintain your interest in our activities during 2017.
Wishing you a Happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
