Brief History and Role

AEVIU, Spanish Association of Real Estate and Urban Appraisal, is a professional association of real estate valuation and planning experts. As a professional non-profit organisation, it has among its main objectives, the mission to defend, promote and dignify the profession of consultant, appraiser and valuer all types of real estate and real rights, tangible and intangible.

AEVIU was born as an attempt to unify the interests of these professionals and improve their professionalism and projection in the media and rating agencies, in Spain and internationally.

Principal Activities

-Improve the professionalism of its members.
-Analyse the technical and economic considerations, that our members must integrate for their work and their professional knowledge.
-Establish a communication channel with the media in order to promote respect and understanding for our work and association.
-Create a common site of knowledge and experience where all the ideas and actions of our members can be gathered and managed properly, with the strength of an entire group.
-We intend to be partners with companies, agencies and institutions, and establish a fluent dialogue in order to achive the basic objective of the association, the professionalism, ethics and honesty of the real estate appraiser.

Principal Areas of Policy

All the areas involved in real estate valuation are considered in the association policy.

Due the country's current situation, residential valuation is receiving special attention by the association, mainly motivated by the social impact of valuation.

Organisation

The organs of government of the association are formed by a President, a Vice Presidente, a Secretary, a Treasurer and two Board members.

Different workgroups have been structured for each association section, serving as forum of debate in which all members can make their contributions. Groups share their conclusions with the assembly.
